Temperatures begin a slow but steady rise each day after Saturday, culminating with highs in the 60 to 62-degree range on both Tuesday the 24th and Christmas Day.
The high Saturday will probably top out in the upper 40s, but it's followed by the low 50s Sunday, the mid-50s Monday and the 60s Tuesday and Wednesday.
A chance of rain will arrive late Sunday and last through Monday afternoon. Most of the heavier precipitation should be centered in the southern half of the state as a low-pressure system heads out of the Gulf of Mexico into Georgia but then takes an easterly turn into the Atlantic. Just how quickly the turn occurs will decide how much rain The Wilson Times area receives.
