A mild weekend with some clouds and a slight chance of a stray shower should follow Friday's storms, Albert Thomas Jr. explains in this edition of The Wilson Times Weathercast brought to you by NCWheels.com.
Expect to wake up to seasonably cool temperatures in the mid-50s with light winds Saturday. The mercury should slowly climb to the upper 60s with winds from the south at 10-20 mph with gusts to 25. On Sunday, the region should see highs in the upper 60s under partly cloudy skies.
A high-pressure system centered over South Carolina and Georgia should take control of eastern North Carolina's weather Sunday evening through Tuesday, holding rain chances down. After a low around 50 on Sunday, a warmup into the mid-70s is expected for Monday's high.
