"It won't be bathing suit weather," Albert Thomas Jr. cautions in this weekend's Weathercast brought to you by NCWheels.com, but moderate temperatures are store for the greater Wilson area through Tuesday.

Friday night's showers should clear by sunrise Saturday and the region should see highs in the mid-50s under cloudy skies with only a few peeks of sunshine. Rain chances of 40 percent late Saturday will rise to 60 percent early Sunday, but expect the rain to taper off by midmorning. Sunday should see a high in the low 70s with a southerly breeze. Overnight lows will be around 50.

Expect a sunny start to the workweek with highs in the mid-60s on Monday and lows cooling to around 40. The high on Tuesday should range from 56 to 58 degrees.

Albert Thomas Jr., a Wilson attorney and retired judge, will weigh in on Wilson's weather conditions each Tuesday and Saturday. Thomas is a forecast aficionado who recalls Wilson community weatherman Joe Overman's broadcasts on WVOT radio.
