The morning commute got a little bumpy in Spring Hope Tuesday morning when one of Erader Mills' vault trucks was struck by another commercial vehicle in the Spring Hope L&L Store parking lot, causing the already top-heavy vault truck to overturn between the far gas pumps and Nash Street.
Ray Johnson of the Seven Paths community was in the parking lot when he noticed a Coors Light distribution truck backing toward the parked vault truck, which was loaded with what appeared to be a septic tank at the time.
The Spring Hope Fire Department, Spring Hope Police Department, Nash County EMS and North Carolina Highway Patrol all responded to the incident. There was no report of injuries.
Although a truck loaded with beer was involved, and the vault truck got an early morning taste of the Rockies, alcohol was not suspected to have played a role in the crash.
