SPRING HOPE — The Spring Hope Area Chamber of Commerce is set for a robust year, according to its leaders.

“This past year was a great year for the chamber and the year 2020 is going to be better,” said chamber President Karen White. “We have several new businesses that we be opening in our town as we look forward to growing both in population and economic development.”

The chamber is promoting its annual membership drive.

“In 2019 we opened the DMV License Plate Office on 123 S. Ash St.,” White said. “It was, and is, our intention to bring traffic and potential customers to Spring Hope for our existing businesses.”

The chamber performs several services, including operating as a contact point for businesses and new residents; providing notary and copying services; hosting Business After Hours events for networking; installing Christmas decorations around town; hosting the annual Christmas in Spring Hope event; providing and maintaining welcome signs at entrances into town; facilitating sidewalk sales and grand openings; and hosting the annual Spring Hope National Pumpkin Festival.

“Even though all members may not take active roles, their dues help with the chamber’s ongoing expenses,” White said in a recent newsletter to chamber members.

Membership is $50 for individuals and $100 for businesses.
