NASHVILLE — The Nash-Rocky Mount Board of Education will hold a special called board meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12 at the central office auditorium, 930 Eastern Ave. Meetings are open to the public.

SPRING HOPE — An American Red Cross blood drive sponsored by the Spring Hope Police Department is scheduled from 2-7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14 at the Spring Hope Fire Department, 415 W. Nash St. To schedule a donation appointment, visit www.redcrossblood.org.

Christmas fest slated Monday

SPRING HOPE — The Spring Hope Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its Old-Fashioned Christmas festival from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17 featuring free horse-drawn carriage rides, a Christmas scavenger hunt, face-painting, more than 100 Nativity displays, multiple choirs and more. Girl Scout Troop 4835 will sell chili and hot dogs.

Sharpsburg town board to meet

SHARPSBURG — The Sharpsburg Board of Commissioners will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, at Town Hall, 110 W. Railroad St. Meetings are open to the public.
