Southern Nash Travel Choir earns top rating

The Southern Nash Travel Choir’s final performance of the year netted the group a rating of excellent at Kings Dominion on May 25.

The group of 26 students, led by director Dean Wheeler, performed early in the day and were able to enjoy several hours in the theme park outside Richmond.

Kings Dominion’s Festival of Music provides band, orchestra and choral students the opportunity to perform on-site at Kings Dominion.

Adjudicators listen, evaluate and comment on each group’s performance. Awards are given for superior and excellent ratings. The Festival of Music is open to all elementary, middle and senior high school instrumental and choral groups.
