Update: Wilson police officers found Troy A. Davis, who had been reported missing, at a family member's home. Authorities say he was unharmed.

Police are searching for a Wilson man who family members say has been missing since Friday night.

Troy A. Davis, 48, of Wilson, was last seen at 9:30 p.m. Officers were called to Davis’ Mallory Drive home on Saturday morning. Family members told police they believe Davis could harm himself, according to Wilson Police Department spokesman Sgt. Steve Stroud.

Davis is driving a black 2013 Ford Explorer SUV with North Carolina license plate CBW-2008. Police say he may have several guns in his possession.

“The Wilson Police Department is actively investigating this case,” Stroud said in an early Sunday news release.

Anyone who has seen Davis or has information on his whereabouts is asked to call the police department at 252-399-2323 or Crime Stoppers at 252-243-2255.
