CARY — Luna Bell Meadows Cook, 86, passed away Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018.

She was born in Granville County, Jan. 30, 1932 to the late Corbitt Lee and Lottie Royster Meadows. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Cook “Country Boy”; brother, Thomas Meadows, and wife, Billie; brothers-in-law, Harold Cook, and wife, Ruth and the Rev. Jimmy Cook; granddaughter, Bridgett Kelly; and a nephew, Jake Cook.

Luna loved her family and spending time with them.

She is survived by her son, Kenny Cook (Lynn); daughter, Mona Kelly (Doug); grandchildren, Brett Cook, Holly and Drew Cousins, Stephen Kelly (Becca), Stephanie Adams (Dennis); great-grandchildren, Emilee and Lilly Adams and Adrienne Kelly; brother, C.L. Meadows (Carol); sister-in-law, Dorothy Cook; and many cherished nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, at Bailey Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Brantley officiating.
