A Bailey farmer was one of 28 participants representing 21 operations and organizations in North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia during the 2019 executive farm management program sponsored by the N.C. State University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
Rob Glover of Rob Glover Farming LLC recently completed the program and learned new tools and practices in areas of strategy, innovation, financial management, human resources, labor management, risk management, succession planning, market research, marketing, social media and crisis management and communication.
Participants were put into teams on the first day and worked within their teams throughout the program. The executive farm management program implements a fictional but fact-based case study to teach management tools.
The N.C. State Cooperative Extension Service, Poole College of Management, Clemson Cooperative Extension, East Carolina University College of Business and the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension partnered with N.C. State to facilitate the program.
