Community Calendar: Food, clothing distribution planned in Middlesex

MIDDLESEX — “Feed the Need,” a free food and clothing distribution, will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 1 at the First Baptist Church of Middlesex’s resource center, 103007 S. Oak St. The Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina and Zaxby’s joins the church in sponsoring the event. For more information, call 252-235-4740.

Food pantry plans open house

SPRING HOPE — A Touch of the Father’s Love Ministry will hold an open house at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 4 at the food pantry, 516 E. Nash St.

Online marketing seminar offered

ROCKY MOUNT — The Nash Community College Small Business Center will offer the seminar “Clicksuasion: The Science Behind the Click” from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, June 6.

Participants will learn to recognize how brands apply psychology to marketing, sales and communication, understand the human decision process when making financial decisions and learn how to apply behavioral science with the Clicksuasion framework.

Church to hold hot dog giveaway

ROCKY MOUNT — Emanuel Chapel Original Free Will Baptist Church, 635 Henry St., will distribute free hot dogs from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 15 as a part of its community outreach ministry.
