Crime prevention panels to meet
ROCKY MOUNT — The Edgecombe and Nash County Juvenile Crime Prevention Councils will meet at 9 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21 at the East Carolina Ag and Education Center.
Church plans breakfast, bake sale
BAILEY — Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, 6048 Mount Pleasant Road, will hold a breakfast and bake sale from 7-11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, with ham and sausage biscuits, grits, coffee, milk, orange juice, cookies and cakes.
Mixer planned for young adults
ROCKY MOUNT — Word Tabernacle Church’s 1821 Ministries will hold a mixer for young adults ages 18-21 from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24 in the church library. Young adults will have an opportunity to build new relationships and learn more about the ministry’s people, heart and mission. Authors to discuss Country Doctor Museum
WILSON — The Wilson County Genealogical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26 in the Wilson County Public Library assembly room, 249 Nash St.
Margaret and Jim Bailey will give a presentation on their recently released book, “The Country Doctor Museum: Early Medical Practices, Treatments and Medicines.” Books will be available after the presentation for sale and signing. All proceeds from the book sales go to the Country Doctor Museum in Bailey.
