Crime prevention panels to meet ROCKY MOUNT — The Edgecombe and Nash County Juvenile Crime Prevention Councils will meet at 9 a.m. Thursday, April 18 at the East Carolina Ag and Education Center. Easter egg hunt planned for April 20 SPRING HOPE — First Baptist Church will hold a community Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 20 at the Spring Hope Park near Spring Hope Elementary School. SPRING HOPE — Gibson Memorial United Methodist Church will hold a Maundy Thursday service at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 18. The church sanctuary will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, April 19 for Good Friday individual prayer. Easter will be celebrated at 11 a.m. this Sunday. Church plans walk-through Easter drama SHARPSBURG — Sharpsburg Community Church, 3720 N. Hathaway Blvd., will host a live walk-through Easter drama from 7 - 8:30 p.m. Thursday, April 18 through Sunday, April 20. Admission is free. Museum to hold oral history day BAILEY — The Country Doctor Museum will host an oral history day from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday, May 7 with the Southern Nash High School Advanced Placement U.S. history class.
