Spaulding alumni plan Valentine’s dance

Historical museum to host reception

SPRING HOPE — The Spring Hope Historical Museum will hold an opening reception for its spring showcase, “Sports in Southern Nash County” from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24 at 400 W. Main St.

Forest to headline GOP convention

ROCKY MOUNT — Lt. Gov. Dan Forest, a likely 2020 Republican gubernatorial candidate, will be the featured speaker at the Nash County GOP’s annual convention planned for Thursday, March 7 at Nash Community College’s Brown Auditorium, 522 N. Old Carriage Road.

Festival seeks vendors, exhibitors

NASHVILLE — Applications are now being accepted for craft and exhibit booths and parade entries in the annual Nashville Blooming Festival, planned for May 10-11.
