Sheriff’s deputies say a Greenville man was caught with cocaine and nearly a pound of marijuana during a late-night traffic stop on U.S. 264 near Bailey.
Trevonn Lamonte Lynch, 24, of 1095 Cheyenne Court, was stopped near mile marker 29 for an unspecified motor vehicle violation at 2 a.m. Saturday, according to the Nash County Sheriff’s Office. Deputy C. Patterson smelled marijuana in the car and conducted a probable cause search.
Authorities say 86 grams (3 ounces) of cocaine, 425 grams (15 ounces) of marijuana and 10 vials of CBD oil were seized, along with $502 in cash. An evidence photo also shows a bag of Chuckles-branded cannabis-infused gummy worms.
Lynch was charged with one count each of possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver cocaine, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver marijuana and maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for a controlled substance.
He posted a $3,500 secured bond and was released from the Nash County Detention Center. Lynch’s first court appearance on the charges is scheduled for June 24.
